Computing Skills in Modern Education

Computer Lab

Information Technology is an integral part of students’ lives. In this day and age, familiarity with computing is an essential component of education. Therefore, computers are ubiquitous in the school, and students are trained to use IT as a working tool as naturally as they would use pen and paper. The info-tech center has a networked Internet-ready computer for students, connected to the teacher’s master console. Other peripherals in the facility include printers, scanners, and modems, all accessible to students as needed. The Internet can conveniently be accessed through any of our computers, thereby giving students the opportunity to tap into the vast resources of knowledge available. Students can register on the system and have their own e-mail addresses.

The school’s Information Technology laboratories are part of the highly sophisticated information technology network within the school.

The computer lab is well-equipped with the latest configuration computers. Sufficient computers are provided for each student, and a well-equipped laboratory for science and math is available to develop practical ideas.

Promoting Creativity and Healthy Interactions

Playground

The school playground provides a safe outdoor environment within the school premises, fostering children’s creative energy and encouraging healthy interactions among them.

The most enchanting schools always feature expansive, open playgrounds equipped with interesting play structures that offer numerous avenues for creativity.

Children spend many hours seated at their classroom desks each day, taking breaks to venture outdoors to the playground. The key to these playgrounds is choice: whether to use the play equipment, run on the field, skip rope, play basketball, or invent new games to challenge their friends. An ideal playground should be spacious and offer a variety of surfaces, including blacktop, grass, sand, and more, to provide diverse options.

Playgrounds must be both spacious and outdoors, as well as secluded to ensure that children (and their parents) feel secure and can focus on their activities without external distractions. A well-designed playground allows everyone on it, including teachers, to have a clear view of all activities while maintaining a barrier from the street or any area outside the school grounds. At the same time, it should convey an open and spacious atmosphere. Therefore, the inclusion of high walls is essential, and utilizing the school buildings as boundaries can help preserve the playground’s sense of openness.
